Kenneth J. Buchanan is Senior Director, Global Customer Services Sales, Asia Pacific. He is responsible for all go-to-market sales activities for the Services portfolio for Sun Microsystems including Technology Support, Managed Services and Customer Education. Previously, Kenneth has held various positions in Sun including Director of Sun's Managed Services globally and for the Asia Pacific Region based in Singapore; Chief Architect for Sun Microsystems Japan; and Director of the IT Consulting and Operations Services organization for Sun Professional Services worldwide. In these positions, he provided valuable insights as a former IT executive. Prior to joining Sun Microsystems, Kenneth was the Chief Technologist for British Petroleum's BP (Europe) division. In this role, he completely revamped the company’s technology portfolio from centralized mainframes to a flexible decentralized client server operation in 15 countries. In addition, he has held appointments as a senior executive at two enterprise applications software companies, heading up the global consulting, support and education divisions. Kenneth holds a Bachelor of Science from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science from the University of Toledo.
