Roman Tuma is the director of Software Practice for Sun Microsystems, Asia South, responsible for driving the growth of Sun's software business for the Asia South region. Roman has more than 16 years IT experience in Asia. He is a member of NAF (National Authentication Framework Committee) where he advises on security related issues in Singapore and other countries in ASEAN. Roman sits in the advisory committee to the Ministry of Communication (Philippines) on Cyber Security. Prior to joining Sun, Roman was Sales Director for Oracle. In this position, he played a lead role in developing and implementing enterprise security and management information solutions in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia for various sectors as well as providing independent consulting services within the region. Roman graduated from the Technology Institute of Electronics in Prague, Czech Republic with majors in Hardware and Software Engineering.
