Sugumaran Kannusamy

K.Sugumaran is the Regional Director of Asia South's Storage Practice. In this role, he is responsible for growing and driving the storage business for Sun Microsystems in the Asia South region.

Sugumaran hails from Netscape Communications where he held several management positions. Since starting his career at National Computer Board, Sugumaran has also been the Country Manager of Novell, Regional Sales Director for Netscape Communications Inc and the General Manager across iPlanet Asia South .

Sugumaran has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry and has a proven record of consistently exceeding sales targets. Awards accorded to him in recognition of his good work include : "SunRise" sales excellence from Sun Microsystems, "Most valuable Player" from Netscape Asia Pacific, "Asia Pacific Outstanding Sales Employee" from Novell and "National Computer Board Excellence Award".

Sugumaran holds an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management England through the European Union Post-Graduate Scholarship, a BSC (Hons) in Computer Science from National University of Singapore, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Management, England.
