Sun Virtual World Workshop & Open Jive Regional Challenge 2009 - Singapore Finals

You are invited to the Sun Virtual World Workshop and the Singapore Finals of the Open Jive Regional Challenge 2009 which will be held on 18 June at ITE College East.

At the half-day Virtual World workshop, experts from the Project Wonderland team will provide an in-depth introduction to the Wonderland 3D virtual world toolkit for developers and 3D artists. Gain insights on related open source technologies including the Project Darkstar server infrastructure, the jVoiceBridge high-fidelity audio component, and the Sun SPOT sensor platform. You will learn how to install Wonderland and begin developing worlds with custom artwork and plug-in modules.

In the afternoon, join us at the Open Jive Singapore finals, where the top six teams from tertiary institutions in Singapore will present their innovative applications and ideas to the audience and judging panel. There will also be a Q&A session where you can ask the teams questions on their projects. The Singapore champions and winners of the Sun Technology Award, Sun Innovation Award, Sun Participation Award, Elixir's Market Potential Challenge and Parasoft's Code Quality Challenge will be announced at the event. Join in the excitement and find out who are the champions who will be representing Singapore to compete for the regional grand champion spot!
