To start you on your Open Jive journey, a jumpstart workshop will be conducted to give you an overview of the open source tools and technologies necessary to jumpstart your applications.

Gain technical tips and expert advice from Sun’s global technology evangelists and industry partners, who will share with you the latest in Java technology, JavaFX, OpenSolaris, NetBeans, Project Wonderland and more, and demonstrate live how to develop cool web 2.0 applications that will wow the judges.

What’s more, all attendees will receive a jumpstart kit including the latest toolkits such as OpenSolaris & Sun Studio DVDs and exclusive Sun premium! The first 50 registrants will also stand a chance to win a iPod shuffle! This workshop is open to all students (and Open Jive challenge facilitators) from tertiary institutions in Singapore. Facilitators and lecturers are also welcome to attend.
