Sun Ranked Number One in the Thailand UNIX Server Market in Revenues in 2008
Sun Captured the Top Spot in the Thailand UNIX Server Market for Factory Revenue in CY 2008 and Grew its Windows Server Revenues by More Than 300 Per Cent from CY 2007 to CY 2008 Thailand, March 30, 2009 - Sun Microsystems today announced that it topped the UNIX server market in Thailand in terms of factory revenue in 2008, according to IDC Asia/Pacific Enterprise Server Tracker, CY2008 Q4 2008, Feb 2009. The report said that Sun maintained its leadership position in terms of factory revenue, with 38.5% share in the Thailand UNIX server market in CY 2008. IDC also reported that Sun grew its Windows server revenues by 370.8% in terms of factory revenue and while unit shipments increased 297.5% in CY 2008 compared with CY 2007.
